The circuit is widely recognised for its compact tarmac oval, intense racing environment, and close proximity between cars and perimeter fencing, creating one of the most demanding venues on the UK oval-racing calendar.
 
The stadium regularly hosts a broad range of short-oval formulas, including BriSCA stock cars, and is well known for producing high-intensity, close-quarters racing that places a premium on precision, awareness, and racecraft.
